Built with tough, two-layer 210 denier nylon fabric with a DWR (durable water repellent) finish to stand up to the rigors of patrol work, the updated Patrol Vest has a longer length and a host of pockets with refined angles for easy access and maximum utility. It has a mesh lining to wick moisture and can be layered over or under the 2L and 3L Hard Shell Patrol Jackets. Zippered pockets include one chest pocket, four front pockets, one oversized pocket on the back with two ways to access it, and one interior stash pocket. Velcro®-secured pockets include one chest and one interior drop-in. A radio can be secured in the radio holster on the left chest with a clip included to attach your speaker/microphone. New for the 2018-2019 season, the Patagonia Patrol Vest is available in all black. Please note that the black version does NOT come with crosses on the front or back. Patagonia Black Vest is a Winner
I recently added the Black Patagonia Vest (without cross) to my rotation. Just consider sizing up one level. My Red Patagonia Vest is an XL. Perhaps it has stretched over the years, but the Black Patagonia XL was a little snug. I exchanged for the XXL have the fit I am looking for. I have been very pleased with the original Red Patagonia Vest and in fact had mine repaired by Patagonia over the summer. The Black Vest is the same quality and feel as the Red Version and will allow me to wear the same combination of Fleece with Vest that I patrol in when I free ski. Recommend highly while supplies last.

Great Vest!
Vest is durable , comfortable, and functional. Works well under patrol jacket or as top layer on warm days. Plenty of room for your kit but not bulky. Great patroller tool!
